August Impact Report

Finding the light in the midst of chaos. Though the world continues to face uncertainties, our Sanctuaries have been maximizing this time to focus on growing our education and community components.

We asked the young women in our India Sanctuary “What did lockdown teach you?”

August Highlights:

  • Our Academy is expanding

    • Our Uganda Sanctuary has begun virtual education lessons with the instructors from our Academy in India

  • English lessons in Mexico

    • The young women in our Mexico Sanctuary meet up for an hour every week for english lessons that are hard to conduct over Zoom

  • Zoom calls around the world

    • The young women in India, Uganda, and Mexico are getting to know one another through zoom calls. From sharing about themselves to their favorite movies, they are building an international community

  • Job promotions in India

    • Two young women received promotions last month. One has started to help manage petty cash expenses for daily travel reimbursements and another helps in setting up our tech (projector, computer, speakers) for our online classes each week
