It is spring - a time when nature impacts our senses in every way!

From the smell of the grass to the sound of birds and other animals who live on trees to the colors of flowers…

…and butterflies!

At some time, we have all chased after and caught or simply sat back and admired them!

… and as you would surely know, butterflies have interesting origins!

A thought provoking quote you may have heard at some time:

‘There is nothing in a caterpillar that tells you it’s going to be a butterfly’

- R. Buckminster Fuller

Exactly! They come from creepy caterpillars that make us cringe when near.

When the caterpillar forms its chrysalis and seals itself within, it is a mess in there. The caterpillar disintegrates and forms a jelly which, in turn, grows into a butterfly.

A completely new creature formed - a radical changeover!

The caterpillar entered the chrysalis without a clue as to what would come next - and then - a transformation!

At International Sanctuary, we are that constant chrysalis stage - a place of change - for the women who join us in The Philippines, India and Uganda. A place wherein we are always expecting the unexpected.

Like all radical change, it can get messy but it is permanent and sustainable.

Your partnering greatly contributes toward this chrysalis functioning well.

We would love to connect with you and let you know how your partnering greatly contributes towards this transformation - please feel free to reach out and connect.

Warmly

Max Fernand

Executive Director

The past is a hard thing to let go of and the future is a far thing to reach when you are carrying emotional baggage.
Through the counseling sessions, many of us are taking up the boldness to let go of our fears from what we have gone through and embrace the hope in the opportunities at the sanctuary to build our emotional strength and dream for our lives again.
- Fenella from our Sanctuary in Kampala, Uganda
