CORN PAKORAS - MUMBAI SANCTUARY RECIPE
Corn Pakoras are a sweet & spicy corn snack that are addictive! They can be eaten alone or enjoyed with a cup of tea or coffee.
INGREDIENTS
2 cups sweet corn
2 cups gram flour
1 onion, chopped
1 green chili, chopped
½ inch ginger, chopped or ginger paste
¼ tsp red chili powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp coriander powder
1 pinch asafoetida
¼ tsp crushed black pepper
Salt to taste
1-2 cups water
Oil for frying
DIRECTIONS
In a bowl, mix together all the listed ingredients above except for the oil.
Add water to bring to a thick consistency.
Heat oil in a pan for deep frying.
Using a teaspoon release the mixture in small portions into the pan and fry until golden brown.
Remove from oil when cook and drain onto paper towel lined plate.
Serve hot with tomato or chili sauce, enjoy!
