Walk Alongside Each Girl During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Dear Faithful Supporters, 

In these difficult and uncertain times, we have come to the decision, in accordance with state and national ordinances to temporarily close our Sanctuaries due to the effects of COVID-19. Similar to you, our staff and artisans are safely staying in their homes.

We aim to stand with each woman during this time as we hold to our commitment of providing steady income, education, health care, and a loving, trusting community they can lean on. In most of the countries where we operate, there is no unemployment check or stimulus plan on which to fall back. 

In our last Impact Report, we told the story of Arya*, who has spent the last four years studying English and saving her money to make her dream of seeing snow one day come true. Arya is one of the 164 young women currently in our program, and we will not let the uncertainty of today stand in the way of her or any of their dreams.

Historically at this time of year, sales through our brand, PURPOSE, have supported about 70% of our program. In recent weeks, our sales have dropped 89.6% alongside the economy. We need a minimum of 3 months of coverage to support all 164 women while we wait for the effects of the pandemic to lift.

Today, I ask you to join us in our fight to ensure that every woman we work with stays supported through these trying times. They have all made such incredible progress towards freedom. Help them stay on this path.
