GAME, SET, MATCH - Partner with us on this life changing game.
As the world watched the matches of Wimbledon unfold this month, I was reminded of the many parallels between sports and life.
Such a great way to learn about life! Sports teach us the importance of all-round development - growing our individual skills and expertise while complementing one another as a team.
We learn to be receptive and build on each other’s strengths, to grow in resilience, adaptability and mental fortitude and to look at outcomes with the right perspective.
When we get injured, our diet and mental and physical prep come into play to facilitate a quick healing process.
Life is no different - it is a learning game!
A game where we are constantly changing and growing, as our purpose and resources, among others, shape us. Our ‘diet’ here as well - physical, mental, emotional, and social all help our recovery when we’ve been pulled down and hurt.
Tragically, in the arena of life, for no fault of their own, some people get injured in the most cruel and evil of ways - as victims of greed and trafficking.
Their steady ‘diets’ are one of lies, deception, threats and fraud - resulting in the recovery from this abuse and exploitation as minimal - if not impossible.
International Sanctuary strives to fill that gap - to change the diet of those women who are escaping trafficking and to improve, exponentially, their chance of recovery and integration into this learning game. To grow them to believe that they have a hope and a future; to plant seeds of self worth so that each one believes in the truth of who they are.
July 30th is the World Day against Trafficking in Persons - a day that compels us to strengthen our fight for women taken captive by this evil.
We, at International Sanctuary, continue to pledge to do whatever it takes to help women who have escaped this heinous crime, reclaim their lives.
To do whatever it takes for her to get back her zest for learning and living and building a bright future!
It is also a day for us to thank you for partnering with us in this journey of transformation - whether through donations, opening doors for fruitful collaborations, purchasing our jewelry or helping us spread awareness.
It would be our joy for you to continue to partner with us and inspire others to join in as we restore lives - one at a time. Together, we can create a ripple effect of change, touching the lives of countless women on their path to restoration.
