November Highlights
Multiplication Lessons in Mexico. In September, we introduced subtraction math lessons in our Tijuana Sanctuary. After success in subtraction, we have moved forward to multiplication. We used the Lottery as a real-life example of how multiplication is used in everyday life.
Hybrid Work Model in Uganda. We continue to evolve our hybrid model of in-person and a work from home program. While 6 women now come into office once a week, we’ve set up a work from home program that allows everyone to work on making jewelry when they’re not in office.
New Designs in India. Our team in India just received their new Spring/Summer tech packs to work on new designs for our social enterprise, PURPOSE Jewelry. It is exciting to work on new designs and learn new skills.
Budget Support Groups. While financial planning has always been an important part of the program, the pandemic has added an extra element of financial pressure. We set up small groups of three women and one staff member so they can discuss and improve their understanding and prioritizing income through needs and wants.
